Ethicly ('we', 'us', 'our') is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Ethicly is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and the Ethicly platform. If you have questions about how we handle your data, contact us at: privacy@ethicly.io
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Account data: name, email address, job title, company, and profile information you provide when creating an account.
Trust and review data: self-assessment scores, peer review scores, engagement records, and AI coaching interactions.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, and other technical data collected automatically when you use the platform.
Contact data: any information you submit through our contact form.
We use your data to provide and improve the Ethicly platform, to calculate and display your Trust Score and dimension scores, to send you review requests and notifications related to your account, to provide AI-generated coaching insights, and to respond to your enquiries.
Our legal basis for processing is: contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve our platform), and consent (where you have explicitly opted in).
Peer reviews submitted on the Ethicly platform are anonymous. The identity of the reviewer is not disclosed to the person being reviewed. We process reviewer identity data solely to prevent duplicate or fraudulent reviews.
If you complete your Ethicly profile, a public trust profile page is created at ethicly-platform.vercel.app/trust/[your-name]. This page displays your Trust Score and dimension scores and is accessible without login. You can request removal of your public profile at any time by contacting us.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the platform (including Supabase for database hosting and Vercel for platform hosting), and only to the extent necessary. All providers are required to protect your data in accordance with applicable law.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@ethicly.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your session. We may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of any significant changes by email. The current version is always available at this URL.
